are dogs welcome?

Where are you located?

We are in Winterport, Maine. Our address is 5 Grandview Drive, Winterport, ME 04496. Winterport is considered part of MidCoast Maine, but we are only a 20 minute drive to downtown Bangor and BGR international airport. Our farm is 2 hours north of Portland, and 1 hour west of Acadia National Park.

We love dogs, but due to allergies and other sensitivities, dogs are not permitted inside the farmhouse or the cabin. Contact us for details on local dog boarding facilities that offer pickup & dropoff for your pup on your wedding day so that he/she can be included in your portraits!

do you provide tables and chairs?

How many people can fit in the barn?

Yes! We have custom made farmhouse tables and cross-back style chairs. All of these are in a dark walnut stain. We also have an assortment of live edge tables, wine barrels, and other furniture that can be used for cake tables, buffet service, etc. There is a bar permanently installed inside the barn. Additionally, we have bistro sets and picnic tables outdoors near the barn for use during cocktail hour or rehearsal dinner.

Our barn can hold 150 guests with room for a dance floor.

do you require a coordinator?

At this time, we do not. However, after being part of hundreds of weddings, we can say with utmost confidence that having a planner and/or coordinator will ensure that your time spent here is stress-free, joyful, and remembered with fondness.

do you have restrooms?

We sure do! There is an outbuilding near the barn with three toilets/sinks.

Where does the ceremony take place?

Your ceremony can be held outdoors next to our pond, with hay fields and our willow tree in the background. If it looks like rain, the barn can be arranged to host your ceremony indoors. You are also welcome to rent a tent as a backup option for an outdoor ceremony.

Do you require insurance?

Yes. This is because you are renting our full property for an entire weekend. An appropriate policy will cost less than $150, and we can guide you on how to obtain a policy (we recommend Event Helper or WedSafe).

where can our guests stay?

Our farm is easy to find. We are just 15 minutes from downtown Bangor, and we have a partnership Residence Inn for shuttle service. There are many AirBnBs and B&Bs in the area. Visit our page on Travel + Hotels for details.

Are you lgbtqia+ friendly?

Yes! All are welcome at Meadow Ridge Farm. We are proud to be a safe space for people of every race, religion, non-religion, orientation, and gender to celebrate. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination.

What is your bar policy?

Alcohol must be served from a professional bar company from our vendor list, or from an approved caterer that holds a liquor license. You may purchase alcohol and hire one of our approved bartenders to serve it. Guests may not bring their own beverages to consume during the wedding.
