What happens if it rains on your wedding day? Well, to start, try to settle down because if it does rain, there's not a thing you can do to control it... so stressing in advance won't help. What you CAN do is make a plan for your ceremony, make a backup plan in case of rain, and then relax and accept whatever weather Maine decides to whip up that day! You know the classic Maine saying: "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes". Heather and John and planned for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in mid June. There were off and on showers all morning, which progressed to steady rain in the afternoon. We checked the radar again and again and again, but it wasn't showing any sign of a break. They reluctantly moved their ceremony inside the barn. We have SO MANY couples that are fearful of what their wedding will look like if the ceremony is moved indoors, so here's a peek at their day! Spoiler alert: it was beautiful, memorable, and sweet. There's a tree with a thick canopy of leaves right outside the front doors of the barn, which made a perfect spot for portraits outdoors after the ceremony. The rain started to subside later on, and the couple managed to sneak outside for some portraits alone in a different setting. Scroll on!
